Terms and Conditions

  • Disclaimer

The “Participation Statement” of the UIAA (Union Internationale des Associations d’Alpinisme or the International Climbing and Mountaineering Organisation) states that:

“Climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.”

This statement is also recognised by Mountaineering Scotland for participation in these activities.

Canoeing, Kayaking and Paddleboarding are “Assumed Risk” “Water contact sport” the may carry attendant risks.

This statement means that though adventurous activities there is an element of risk with a danger of personal injury or death participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

  • Bookings

To place your booking a deposit of 50% will be required. After this the full payment will be required 48 hours prior to the activity for the activity to run.

Freelance and subcontracting work will be invoiced after to be paid within 15 Days.

  • Group members

Please bear in mind hill walking is a strenuous activity and all participants must have a suitable level of fitness for the activity any questions or concerns around this please email prior to the activity and we can plan an adventure that works best for you.

Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian with them to participate.

  • Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations made two weeks prior to the activity will be eligible for a full refund after this no refund will be given.

If we must cancel due to weather conditions a full refund will be provided.

If the activity is cancelled due to incorrect equipment no refund will be provided. Please arrive prepared.

Due to the dangerous nature of the mountain environment if you arrive intoxicated or with alcohol or drugs on your person the activity will be cancelled, and no refund will be provided.

  • Code of conduct

You agree to abide by a code of conduct while participating in the company’s activities. This includes following the instructions of the guides or instructors, respecting the environment and local communities, and behaving in a responsible and respectful manner towards participants.

The company reserves the right to terminate your participation in any activity if your conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive or in violation of the code of conduct. No refunds or compensation will be provided in such cases.

  • Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the company, its directors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental consequential or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of the services, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of any kind.

You agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the company from any claim’s actions, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your participation in the company’s activities.

  • Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

  • Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Company, superseding any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter herein.
